Had to go ghost as I’m known to do so often, transforming. Shout out my guy Steven out in Washington and Fox on the west side. Below are a few songs, including the ones I made in LA back in January. Tried to get them out sooner but unfortunately not everyone is built for this life. Nothing personal just business. Enjoy. See you soon.

There are certain people we meet on this journey who leave such an impression on us they shape who we become. I’ll never forget riding down Main St. in your Mark VIII on chromes bumpin Dipset, your system was so loud it shook the ground. I felt like a super hero that day. Your energy and charisma was 1 of 1, you even said Wayne was the best rapper alive after Tha Carter 1 dropped, you called it.
Happy Birthday to the original LI Superstar, the #1 Stunna, the reason my shoes so clean and my seat so leaned, may you fly in peace my guy.

Coming off the hangover of my beloved Fightin Irish losing to Texas, and an all night session of digging for beats, it’s been 5 months since I released Silence Dogood. At this moment the tape has done 700+ downloads, which I am very proud of. Experiencing the process of building my first project for the world to hear was a blur. But, I have grown. I know exactly who I am, I know who my real friends are and I know how delicate life is, which are all very rare discoveries for my age. Although SDG didn’t launch me to performing on stages with my heroes as I dreamed when I wrote it, it has built a bridge for me to continue on that journey. Just know I will always be about delivering the absolute best music possible and I will never settle for anything less than perfection.

A lot of emails have been coming thru asking why I haven’t dropped a song in 4 months, how can we download Ghost Town and is the site in chronological order.
Yes, the site is in order and I will continue to update it regularly so keep coming back. We are working on making the songs more accessible to everyone without you guys having to pay on iTunes so be patient! Last, I have been working day and night to bring everyone the next level of Rye, a new project is on the way along with my first videos, new features and a bunch of songs I have in the vault.
See you soon.
P.S. I’ve seen the shirts and stickers with my ‘L.I. Til I Die’ tag on them. You’re not low, get in contact with my people and send me the check bruh
“The underdog of rap”
I simply want to say thank you.
The past 4 months have been an adventure-filled chapter in the story I’m trying to write and I am grateful for every single person who has given my music a chance. Thank you to Chris and everyone at Dream for working with me and putting up with my infinite revisions. Thank you to Rick, Steve and everyone else at ProductofSociety.org for giving me a platform to display my art. Thank you to Dant aka Dantiago and Scammy Scam for being my brothers regardless of my skintone. Thank you to everyone who downloaded Silence Dogood. Thank you to my Uncle Josh for calling me all the way from Houston on his lunch break to preach words of success and positivity. Thank you to my Uncle John for being a father figure to Dylan and I when my father no longer could. Thank you to my Aunt Mary for recording the “Silence Dogood” tag that everyone loved in my dining room. Thank you to my Titi Iris for getting my music to all the old people still on Facebook. Thank you to Bobby Bleustone for making my website visions a reality. Thank you to Lil Wayne, Jay Z, Big Pun, Kid Cudi, Bruce Springsteen, Kanye West and especially Gwen Stefani for inspiring me and millions of other kids to question mediocrity and make pushing the envelope the norm. Lastly, a very big thank you to Adam for believing in me since the SoundCloud days and putting your name on the line to help mine grow. Thank you.

“Money can’t buy life.”
Brian “Rye” Mahon is a recording artist, song writer and director from Long Island, New York. Born in Queens, New York on August 25th 1991, Rye is the son of Maria Otero and Patrick Mahon. His mother, a court reporter, is of Puerto Rican decent. His father, a well-known master stone carver throughout Manhattan, is of Irish decent. Both of his parents hail from Brooklyn, New York.
Rye began writing songs at age 10 and recording at age 12 under the name “Havik”. He continued writing and recording secretly during his junior high and high school years, eventually releasing songs publicly under the name “Rye” in 2011.
Rye credits his late fathers cancer diagnosis as the spark to his music career, stating “I realized how short life was and how important happiness is, creating music was my only source of happiness during my fathers illness. It’s still my escape.” Rye recorded over 250 songs from 2012-2015, leading up to his first full-length project “Silence Dogood” in April 2016. His next project does not have a release date.
Rye has also built his collective “LionsClub” as not only a hub for his one-of-a-kind sound, but also as a constant participant in charity. Fellow producer of The Lions and Rye’s best friend, Flash, says “The sky is really the limit for Rye as an artist and as a person. To see how far he has come, how much he has improved and grown and after all the obstacles he has faced, he has impressed us all. But, what makes him special is his work ethic. To see him sit in a room for months and months and do nothing but create music is remarkable. He simply just outworks everyone.”
